These were taken a couple of weeks ago at Rylin's very 1st soccer practice. This girl has been waiting since we signed her up last spring for this day to come! She has always been a great cheerleader for Kacia- always excited to be her biggest fan, and always super encouraging. But all summer long we have heard "I can't wait for fall because I get to do soccer and go to school!!" Not that this is technically fall (it's currently 106) but nonetheless the season has started and she is so excited (and deserving) to have the spotlight. Kacia was a good sport and even made her a sign for practice :) This reversal of roles is good for both of them, and fun for us to watch.
It is also neat as a parent to watch the differences of our kids and their approach to new things. Rylin is quite different from her sister, and proves this once again on the field. She shows no signs of being timid, but rather as her coach says "she's a little tiger!" She doesn't so much wait for instruction- but just goes for it. She is by far the smallest on the Pink Panthers, but I fully expect she will hold her own, and run and run and run those skinny little legs to total exhaustion!
