Jr Giants -(a little irony I find funny for this A's household)

With the cleats, bat bag & oversized hat, she looks like quite the athlete before she even gets on the field!
She's probably thinking "please don't hit to me, please don't" But the first 4 batters hit it right to her, and she did a nice job of fielding and even made an out
Here's her best friend Sawyer in the catcher gear. Why is that necessarily for t-ball? Anyhow, I think he was happy to be catcher, but I was just thinking, "wow, I'm hot on the bleachers, can't imagine how hot Sawyer must be!"
So if you know either Kevin or I, you know that it is no secret what sport rules in our house- baseball!! So needless to say, when Kacia reached the age to play t-ball- there was great excitement as we started this new stage of life- the stage where we sit sticking to metal bleachers baking in the extreme Redding heat! Kacia's season is almost over, but I finally remembered to bring the camera and document our little athlete. She has come along way in the short season- considering that the first inning of the first game, Kevin had to yell from the stands to put her glove on the other hand. :) She now will actually go after a ball rather than stand like a statue, has made a few nice plays, she is progressing in her throwing skills, and seems to always somehow make it safely to 1st base. We love watching her, and she seems to really enjoy playing. She told me after the first game that she was a little nervous at the beginning when she saw how many people were in the stands, but she convinced herself she could do it, and told me "it's way more fun than soccer!" (She's not a big fan when it comes to the amount of running soccer involves!) Rylin on the other hand, could not be more excited that her very first soccer practice is tonight!!
